  1. Return and Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by Fowler Tours SA (Pty) Ltd is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Fowler Tours SA (Pty) Ltd will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a N/A % administration fee.

  1. Customer Privacy policy

Fowler Tours SA (Pty) Ltd shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Card transactions will be acquired for Fowler Tours SA (Pty) Ltd via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

Fowler Tours SA (Pty) Ltd takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Cost of obtaining passports or visas, border taxes (if applicable), mandatory tips for guide, driver and hotel staff, hotel taxes (if applicable), laundry, meals not specified in the itinerary, beverages or sightseeing not included in the itinerary, communication charges, & excess baggage fees, all other personal expenses. Some offers may exclude travel insurance.

As per booking form

In order to meet deposit schedules with suppliers for this tour, Fowler Tours charges a non-refundable deposit. Full invoice is issued 60-90 days before departure; payment of which is due within FIVE DAYS.

All cancellations must be received in writing. Deposits are refunded until 90 days before departure date, thereafter are subject to cancellation fees. For details refer to CANCELLATION POLICY below.

Fowler Tours may arrange for travel insurance, unless otherwise specified in the itinerary. Surcharges apply travellers over the age of 69.

A valid passport is required of all passengers. Please apply for your passport immediately as passports are taking a long time to process. Make sure to have it in your possession at all times while on tour. It must be valid for SIX months following the return date of the trip or boarding may be denied or entry into the destination may be forbidden. Please provide Fowler Tours with a copy or clear scan of the inside page of your passport (showing your name and photo) at the time of reservation. Fax copies not acceptable.

While Fowler Tours will advise you on visa requirements, obtaining visas is the sole responsibility of the traveller (unless specifically offered otherwise by Fowler Tours). Fowler Tours is not liable for visa applications that are rejected or otherwise not obtained before departure, and in such cases cannot offer refunds. Fowler Tours is not liable for denied entry to the destination country/countries at the point of immigration control.

Due to the airlines’ reduced capacity and restrictive group reservation terms, group air reservations are often difficult to coordinate. The number of connections, length of layovers, and all conditions surrounding air travel cannot be guaranteed and may change before departure. Seat Requests: Please note that group seats are assigned “at the discretion of the airline”, although every effort will be made to fulfill requests. SPECIFIC SEAT ASSIGNMENTS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED. Seat numbers will not be advised until check-in at the airport.


You are responsible for your own arrangements to and from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport.

The Itinerary is tentative and represents what we are planning for you, however it is subject to confirmations from many organisations. Because of changes in local schedules, we may need to alter specified events, dates and/or venues to better fit the overall plan.

Gratuities for your guides, driver and hotel staff, and hotel taxes (if applicable) are excluded. These are mandatory. You will be advised of the total cost of these before departure, and all monies will be collected by the tour leader who will then distribute them to the various recipients.

Tour prices are per person sharing. Single rooms at an extra rate are limited and are available first come-first served until the supply is exhausted.

Baggage is at owner’s risk throughout the tour.

Travellers must be medically and physically fit for this tour. Tours require significant walking, as motor coaches are not permitted to pick up and drop off in front of major attractions. Tours are usually not wheelchair accessible. Any special limiting medical conditions or equipment must be advised in writing, for evaluation of feasibility, at the time of making your reservation.

Fowler Tours or their partners may take photographs or film of its trips and trip participants, and participant grants Fowler Tours or their partners express permission to do so and for Fowler Tours to use such for promotional or commercial use.

There is no right to a refund for any unused services.



Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges and are based on the current rate of exchange and tariffs. In the event of a change in foreign exchange rates, fuel costs or tariff rates, tour costs are subject to revision. Such increases will be added to the client final billing. Fowler Tours SA reserves the right to vary itineraries and prices, and to substitute facilities and hotels of equal or better quality if necessary. Prices are not guaranteed until tickets have been paid for in full and issued, and are subject to change at any time until then. Aside from passport, visa and other peripheral service fees (“additional fees”), Fowler Tours SA reserves the right to claim late booking charges, communications, consultation, administration and amendment fees where applicable. Tickets: As soon as the Company receives payment from all passengers, it will begin ordering and issuing tickets. Depending on the itinerary, please allow four weeks from the time payment reaches us for tickets and/or e-ticket confirmations to be delivered. Tickets may be issued as paper tickets, e-tickets, or a mix of both.

Final payment for all tours is due 60 days prior to departure, or less if specified by Fowler Tours. Payments not received on time will result in reservation cancellation without refund.

Cancellation in writing must be received by Fowler Tours SA 91 days prior to departure for full refund of deposit. Air penalties are not part of the percentages below and vary based on the airline policy at the time of ticket issue. Any monies which you have already paid to Fowler Tours SA, will be taken by us as payment or part payment of any cancellation charges. Fowler Tours SA is unable to refund monies before receipt of funds from the relevant suppliers. The cancellation fee is over and above any cancellation fee which may be charged by the suppliers to whom the refund is submitted. Cancellation penalties apply as follows:

• 91+ Days Prior: No penalty of deposit
• 90 –61 Days (or date of invoice): Deposit Amount
• 60 Days (or 1 day after date of invoice) – 46 Days Prior: 25% of full package tour cost
• 45-31 Days Prior: 40% of full package tour cost
• 30-21 Days Prior: 50% of full package tour cost
• 20-15 Days Prior or less: 100% of full package tour cost


Minors traveling with either one parent or no parents must have a certified letter of permission from the parent or parents who is/are not travelling. This letter must be presented at airport check-in. All international tours require a current passport. Entrance to most countries requires your passport be valid for 6 months after your return date. Your passport number must be recorded by Fowler Tours SA when making your reservation. Names on airline tickets must appear as shown on passport. Photocopies are not acceptable forms of identification. Non-South African citizens are responsible to fulfill appropriate entry requirements of the destination country. Contact the local Consulate for information. Fowler Tours SA assumes no responsibility should an invalid passport or unmet visa requirements result in refused entry into a destination country.

Passengers wishing to cancel or change their air reservation may be subject to cancellation penalties above the cancellation fees. Airlines involved in tours are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. Fowler Tours SA is not responsible for unforeseen flight delays, charges due to changes required during political unrest, or schedule changes imposed by the airlines. Air schedules may be subject to change at the discretion of the airline.  When purchasing air transportation from Fowler Tours SA, fuel charges and security fees are not guaranteed until tickets are issued.  Such fees are subject to change and any increase will be added to your final payment invoice.

It is the passenger’s responsibility to provide positive identification in the form of a passport or other required identification at the time of airport check-in.

It is strongly advised that all passengers take out adequate insurance cover such as cancellation due to illness, accident or injury, personal accident and personal liability, loss of or damage to baggage and sports equipment (Note that this is not an exhaustive list). Fowler Tours SA will not be responsible or liable if the passenger fails to take adequate insurance cover or at all. It shall not be obligatory upon Fowler Tours SA to effect insurance for the passenger except upon detailed instructions given in writing and all insurance effected by Fowler Tours SA pursuant to such instruction will be subject to such exceptions and conditions as may be imposed by the insurance company or underwriters accepting the risk, and Fowler Tours SA shall not be obliged to obtain separate cover for any risks so excluded. Should the insurers dispute their liability for any reason, the passenger will have recourse against the insurers only. Once the insurance has been confirmed and paid for, the passenger will be issued with a policy document of the insurer.

Fowler Tours SA shall have the right to cancel any contract should its fulfilment be rendered impossible, impeded or  frustrated by strike, lock-out, civil commotion, war, act of God, force majeure, lack of materials, operation of law or regulations or order made by any statutory or other duly constituted authorities or any other cause beyond the control of  Fowler Tours SA.

Neither Fowler Tours SA nor any related company or representative shall be liable for any injury, illness, harm, trauma, death to the client or any other passenger and/or loss of or damage howsoever caused and the Client indemnifies Fowler Tours SA or any related company or representative accordingly. Fowler Tours SA shall furthermore not be liable for any indirect and/or consequential loss or damages whatsoever even though this may be as a result of negligence on the part of Fowler Tours SA or any related company or representative.

Tour membership is available to all travellers and will not be withheld if the tour operator can furnish the requirements that an individual may need. Because most of our tour sightseeing schedules require tour members to walk at a moderate pace, we cannot accept persons who need assistance. Should meeting these requirements materially add to the tour operator’s cost, the tour member would be expected to pay these additional costs. The tour guide/director retains the right to require non-mobile persons to stay behind when deemed necessary, and also terminate the membership of any member displaying fragile health, disruptive behaviour, endangering fellow members and/or interfering with the operations of the tour. Private group tours vary in regards to mobility standards.

These tour programmes are operated by Fowler Tours SA. In common with other companies, Fowler Tours SA acts only as an agent for tour members in arranging room accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, admissions and restaurants. Fowler Tours SA reserves the right in its sole discretion to make changes in the itinerary and is not responsible for expenses, loss of time, money or other incidents resulting from a change of tour scheduling made for tour members, including any rescheduling due to political unrest. Fowler Tours SA is not responsible for any losses or damages of personal property, injuries or unforeseen expenses incurred by any tour member.



Fowler Tours or its owners or the local organiser/parish/priest do not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, local ground operators, including, without limitation, various entities which may utilize the Fowler Tours name, guides, sightseeing companies, entertainment, food or drink service providers, equipment suppliers, etc. As a result, Fowler Tours or the local organiser/parish/priest are not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity. In addition, Fowler Tours or the local organiser/parish/priest are not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity they do not own or control, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under their control. Without limitations Fowler Tours or the local organiser/parish/priest are not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond their control, including, without limitation any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract or violation of local law or regulation of any third party such as an airline, bureaucracy (including denial of departure at the departure airport or denial of entry into n the destination country by immigration control), train, hotel, bus, taxi, van, local ground handler or guide, whether or not it uses the Fowler Tours name, financial default or insolvency of any supplier which is to, or does supply any goods or services for this trip. Similarly, Fowler Tours or the local organiser/parish/priest are not responsible for any loss, injury, death or inconvenience due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodation, default of any third party, attacks by animals, injury or death while on activities sponsored by lodging facilities or by other third parties, sickness, the lack of appropriate medical care, evacuation to same, if necessary, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, or the threat thereof, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics, or the threat thereof, criminal activity, immigration control or any other cause beyond its control. Should the advertised spiritual director be unable to participate in this event, every effort will be made to secure a substitute. Regardless of the participation of the advertised spiritual director the pilgrimage tour will proceed as scheduled on the dates listed. By signing this form to participate in this pilgrimage tour, you agree that the terms of the cancellation penalty will be binding upon you regardless of whether the advertised spiritual director is able to participate. Fowler Tours or the local organiser/parish/priest are will not be responsible for any loss incurred by traveller, including lost days of the scheduled tour, due to a cancelled flight or other means and modes of transportation. Fowler Tours will not be responsible should travellers be unable to obtain required visas.
